Vaishali weds Harsha

Kanakavalli Bride Vaishali and Harsha met at their very first job in Hyderabad. She says that she doesn't believe in love at first sight, but he certainly caught her attention when he walked in late on his first day of work because he had forgotten his ID card!

After seven years together, everything started falling into place for Vaishali and Harsha to get married. He made the first move, she says, by researching rings!

The couple had to plan their wedding from the US, landing in India just two weeks before the big day.

They were really feeling the stress, but when they saw a caricature of themselves that they had commissioned for their Save the Date, they burst into laughter.

Vaishali says that the perfect pink kanjivaram she found at Kanakavalli also helped them focus on the excitement rather than the stress!

Vaishali couldn't wait to see Harsha after the "jeelakarra bellam" ceremony, and she says that finally seeing him in his groom's outfit was worth the one-and-a-half-hour wait!

The bride was born and brought up in Chennai, so she always knew that she wanted to wear a kanjivaram silk sari, with its intricate embellishments and fine weaving techniques, for her wedding.

Vaishali picked a gorgeous bridal kanjivaram from Kanakavalli in pink.
