This stunning kanjivaram sari in burnt orange shot with ruby red is handwoven with kuyilkann(cuckoo's eyes) patterns in gold zari, all over the body. The broad korvai borders in dark pink shot woth ruby red have kuyilkann, floral, rudraksham, twill and geometric patterns in gold zari and dark pink, along with hints of leaf green. The pallu in the same colours as the borders features an ettu kol seeprekku band edged by yaanai(elephant), kuthirai(horse), mayil(peacock), kili(parrot), manga(paisley), floral, thuthiripoo, twill and geometric motifs in gold zari, along with hints of leaf green.

Here are a few tips that can help keep your kanjivaram silk products well cared for -

If you store your saris folded, please ensure you open them and change the fold every so often. Fold lines can "settle" if not refolded, creating fade marks and weakening the weave and brocade patterns along the fold line stress points.
If stored folded, be sure to store the saris in a muslin/cotton bag to preserve them better.
Air them out of the bags and refold every so often.
It is best to store heavier kanjivaram saris, especially brocaded (zari embellished) ones, on a sari roll. However, these too will need airing out and re-rolling at intervals
If you store your saris hung, you will still need to air them and refold to reset the fold lines. Hanging your heavier kanjivaram saris, however, is not recommended for extended periods.
Use insect repellants and anti moisture devices in your closed wardrobes to protect the saris.
Give your saris to silk specialist cleaners if you need to get them cleaned, Remember, not all stains are easily removed (or removable at all) once "set in" a fabric - the best time to tackle a stain is as soon as its occurred.
