Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 21-586-HS001-03906

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This beautiful kanjivaram sari in burnt orange shot with mustard orange is handwoven with geometric checks enclosing mayil(peacock) and chakaram motifs in silver zari. The broad border has vanki(chevron), twill and geometric patterns in silver zari; while the narrow border has twill and geometric patterns in silver zari. The pallu features a diamond band flanked by floral, vanki, rudraksham, thazhampoo reku(temple) and geometric motifs in silver zari.
