Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 20-040-HS001-01635

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This beautiful kanjivaram sari in maroon is handwoven with mayil(peacock) motifs in gold zari, dotted on the body. The borders have kuyilkann(cuckoo eyes)and rudraksham motifs in gold zari and maroon. The pallu features kuyilkann patterns flanked by kuthirai(horse), mythical animal, salangai(anklet) and floral motifs in gold zari and maroon.
