Kanakavalli Bride : Vaishnavi

Vaishnavi weds Amogh

Kanakavalli Bride Vaishnavi and Amogh met years ago and had a natural connection right from the start. However, life took them in different directions and they drifted apart. Vaishnavi believes that if someone is meant to be in your life, they’ll find their way back to you, and that’s just what happened with Amogh. When he returned to her life, everything fell in place beautifully.

Amogh had bought a new house in Canada where he planned the most unforgettable proposal. He told Vaishnavi there was an important conference at his office so she would dress up, and then pretended to have left his wallet at the house. When they arrived, Vaishnavi was greeted by a sea of candles and a house filled with roses. She was still not sure what was happening, until she saw a large sign that read: ‘Will you marry me?’ Amogh dropped down onto one knee, held out a gorgeous ring, and Vaishnavi’s eyes filled with tears. The final part of the surprise was discovering all her friends and family waiting for her on the balcony.

As they planned the wedding, Vaishnavi loved watching all the little details she had imagined come to life. Every aspect was a family affair, including the wedding invite which was designed by her parents and sister, making it so much more meaningful.

The couple had a traditional wedding that blended South Indian and Maharashtrian elements. They served sambar rice, but made sure to include puran poli as well, bringing together the best of both worlds in their celebrations. For the ceremony, they chose a soft floral theme and a mandap in shades of white and green adorned with pink lotuses – a delightful mix of elegance and simplicity.

Since the wedding, Vaishnavi has come to realise how much she and Amogh bring out the best in each other, sharing laughter, love and little moments of  happiness as their bond grows deeper.

Even before she knew who she was going to marry, Vaishnavi knew she wanted to be a Kanakavalli bride. As a South Indian who has always loved silk saris, she wanted to celebrate her roots on her special day and she knew exactly what colour and design she wanted to wear. She chose Kanakavalli for its exquisite craftsmanship and timeless designs, and found a beautiful purple kanjivaram with peacock motifs. Vaishnavi says she felt as though the team at the store truly listened to her, making her feel special as they helped her find the kanjivaram that matched her sense of style as well as the theme of the wedding. The entire shopping experience, she says, was beyond her expectations.

A big thank you to Vaishnavi for being a beautiful Kanakavalli Bride and sharing the story of her wedding with us. We wish her and Amogh a lifetime of love and laughter.
