Srividhya weds Hariharan
Kanakavalli Bride Srividhya and Hariharan were friends as children, but lost touch when he went away to college.
Almost five years later, they reconnected and started getting to know one another. They discovered many common interests, and she soon realised that she really liked him.
However, since their parents were also friends, she wanted to take things slow. A year later, though, Hariharan proposed to Srividhya over a phone call!
Preparing for the wedding was a wholesome experience, says Srividhya.
Both their families were very involved in all the details, from picking the make-up artist and photographer to planning the décor and the menu.
Despite some differences of opinion, decisions were made without hurting anyone’s feelings and that was the most important thing for the couple. Hariharan travelled from Bangalore every single weekend to be a part of all the wedding prep, and Srividhya says he didn’t sulk even when they were shopping for the smallest things!
For Srividhya, married life is that feeling of having a go-to person who accepts her without judgement or questions – it is the feeling of being at home.
Srividhya has been following Kanakavalli since the brand launched, and dreamt of buying her Muhurtham sari from us one day.
She was delighted to find the exact shade that she knew she wanted to wear for her big day. She loved the ambience and the patient staff who helped her find a kanjivaram she says she will always love.
