Kanakavalli Bride : Samyuktha

Samyuktha weds Aditya

Samyuktha and Aditya were introduced by their families and met in March 2024 for a coffee. They ended up chatting for four hours, at the end of which Aditya told her that he knew they were going to be married even if she didn’t know it yet!

Samyuktha says she immediately felt comfortable with Aditya who seemed to cherish everything about her personality. They didn’t have to change anything about themselves for each other, meeting as independent adults who were comfortable in their own shoes.
There was no official proposal – Samyuktha and Aditya just decided that they’d be together. He did buy her a beautiful ring, though, and one evening, while listening to Frank Sinatra in her bedroom with the lights dimmed, he went down on both knees –  because he forgot the proper protocol – and asked her to marry him. They both laughed so hard that Samyuktha doesn’t remember if she even said yes!
The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony in Thirupathi – making them the fourth generation of the family to get married there. Samyuktha says her mother conceived, planned and executed the wedding perfectly and it was one of the most beautiful events she’s ever seen. For both families, tradition was the most important aspect – honouring their roots and conducting each ceremony meticulously.
As the marriage rituals unfolded on stage, a wonderful storyteller described and explained them, engaging the guests and making them all smile. Samyuktha says this was one of the most memorable aspects of her big day.
After the ceremony, the couple went to visit the temple. After they were dropped off, their families forgot to send a car to pick them up. Samyuktha and Aditya will never forget how they hopped into an auto, all decked up in their wedding finery, to return to the hotel!
Samyuktha has always said that Kanakavalli feels like a second home to her, and describes the Kanakavalli kanjivaram as a drape of comfort and confidence.
When it was time to shop for her wedding saris, she and her mum thought they would explore other stores but ended up back at Kingsley. She picked a whole range of kanjivarams for her wedding events.
For the muhurtham, Kanakavalli custom-made a sari inspired by the design of Samyuktha’s mother-in-law’s wedding sari. Both her mother and grandmother also wore Kanakavalli to the wedding, and Samyuktha was so pleasantly surprised to see her mother-in-law and sister-in-law also in Kanakavalli. She says they really are a Kanakavalli family!
A big thank you to Samyuktha for being a gorgeous Kanakavalli Bride and sharing the story of her wedding with us. We wish her and Aditya a lifetime of love and laughter.
