Aishwarya weds Anmol
Kanakavalli Bride Aishwarya first met Anmol at a restaurant in Robertson Quay but he was two hours late! Fortunately, she was with a friend who kept her company – otherwise she might not have waited.
Anmol did have a good excuse though – there was an MRT breakdown that day and he had to run around to find a bus. When he arrived, he was sweating a bit – either out of nervousness or from running, she’ll never truly know!
While Aishwarya and Anmol were on a vacation in Bali with friends, she knew that something was up. They had a whole day of activities planned, but Anmol kept checking his phone every half hour, with visible stress on his face.
They ended the day at a beautiful hillside hotel where, a few metres from the entrance, was a beautiful table set for two overlooking a river below. Aishwarya turned to find Amol on one knee, and the rest is history.
The couple’s wedding was a beautiful marriage of two cultures, combining Jain and Tamil traditions at events across three days.
They had a spring-themed mehendi and welcome dinner, a Nischitharthan followed by the Baraat and a winter-themed Sangeet. Finally, the wedding ceremony featured Tamil Brahmin rituals followed by Jain pheres, with décor inspired by the colours of autumn.
Aishwarya will never forget how she had to wait fifteen minutes to enter the wedding hall. Wondering what the problem was, she eventually discovered that the delay was caused by her groom having a leisurely breakfast!
Aishwarya always knew she wanted to be a Kanakavalli Bride, so she didn’t even think about going to other stores.
When she did visit Kanakavalli Bengaluru, it took her all of thirty minutes to pick her wedding sari! She says the team at the store was friendly and understood exactly what she was looking for. She loved the kanjivaram designs so much that she ended up choosing two!
A big thank you to Aishwarya for being a beautiful Kanakavalli Bride and sharing the story of her wedding with us. We wish her and Anmol a lifetime of love and laughter.
