Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 17-100-HS001-00049

This sari is from Kanakavalli's Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This elegant kanjivaram sari is handwoven in dark maroon shot with brown. The borders have bands and stripes in gold zari, rust brown and black, along with a selvedge in deep purple. The pallu in black features a seeprekku band and stripes in gold tissue, gold zari and rust brown.

The sari is handworked with kasuti motifs in golden yellow and beige across the body and pallu.
