Sanjna weds Likhith
Kanakavalli Bride Sanjna first met Likhith a decade ago in architecture college. He was her junior, and she often helped him with projects. What started as a friendship slowly blossomed into something more. While Likhith always believed in love at first sight, it took Sanjna a whole year to say yes to him! They were just nineteen when he asked her to marry him – before they had even started dating, marriage was already on his mind. He had brought a ring to the movies but was too shy to put it on her finger. So instead, he asked her out, handed her the ring, and walked away blushing. From that moment on, there was no looking back.

Sanjna fondly recalls the joyful chaos of wedding planning – from shopping for outfits to running around in search of the perfect paper for their custom wedding invitations. After spending countless hours finalising details like colour themes for each event, there was a deep sense of relief and excitement when their big day finally arrived – a day ten years in the making.

On the morning of the muhurtham, the couple carved out a peaceful moment for themselves. They had a photoshoot, shared breakfast, and spent time together reflecting on the surreal feeling that they were actually getting married. Sanjna says she will cherish that morning for the rest of her life.

After pre-wedding celebrations at home, the muhurtham and reception were held at a beautiful venue in Bangalore. The décor was elegant, traditional, and understated, with white and pink flowers, alongside banana and mango leaves to set the tone for the ceremony.

Sanjna’s advice to brides-to-be is to go with the flow. She believes everything comes together on the big day, so it's important to relax, have fun, and savour every moment. The last few days spent at your parents’ home are especially precious, she says, and should never be taken for granted.

Sanjna had always dreamed of wearing Kanakavalli, and it was the only store she visited for her muhurtham sari. In fact, the very first kanjivaram she tried on turned out to be the one. She shares that the store made her and her family feel truly at home, and she’s grateful for the team’s warmth and patience throughout the entire experience.

A big thank you to Sanjna for being a beautiful Kanakavalli Bride and sharing the story of her wedding with us. We wish her and Likhith a lifetime of love and laughter.
