The selection is pulled from Kanakavalli’s Vault collections of heirloom worthy Kanjivarams - in the Vault collective, Kanakavalli goes beyond curation, designing a series of beautiful heirloom kanjivarams that are exclusive to the brand. In these gorgeous classic format saris, we revive and document ancient motifs, layouts and colour palettes, all within a contemporary setting.

This design-led initiative, authored by Kanakavalli, focuses on tradition, not just in pattern but also in weave technique.

The master weavers of the Vault kanjivarams, selected for long standing excellence in their metier, each generation bequeathing their loomed legacy to the next, stay true to the handloom origins of the craft. Resisting the increasing mechanisation of the loom, they choose laborious hand weaving techniques to immortalise the kanjivaram.
