Kanakavalli Bride : Pavithra

Pavithra weds Rohith
Kanakavalli Bride Pavithra says that the first time she met Rohith, there was definitely something special between them. What was supposed to be just a first meeting turned into them spending more time together the very same day – there was an instant sense of comfort and the conversation felt effortless. She didn’t know then that she would eventually marry him, but she went home thinking that there was something about him.
On her birthday, on a yacht in the middle of the ocean, Rohith asked Pavithra to marry him. It was intimate, thoughtful and completely unforgettable. By then, their relationship had grown into something very meaningful and the proposal felt like the beginning of a new chapter.

Bringing all the ideas she had collected over the years to life was Pavithra’s favourite part of planning the wedding. Seeing years of inspiration come together so beautifully made her very happy. They chose unique decor for each wedding event – drawing inspiration from the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma for one and from a designer label for another. For the wedding ceremony, they recreated the energy and traditional beauty of Tirumala Tirupati through their decor and this was very close to Pavithra’s heart.

In the midst of all the rituals and action on the wedding day, there was a quiet moment when Pavithra paused – she looked at the person beside her and realised she was finally getting to marry her person, and that’s the moment that stayed with her.

Married life has been a new chapter for Pavithra and Rohith as they learn about each other and build a life together. She has learnt that marriage isn’t just about the big romantic moments, but also about companionship, patience and growing together.

Pavithra says the Kanakavalli aesthetic is exactly what she was looking for – the richness of the textile, the beauty of its craftsmanship and the way each sari celebrates tradition. She wanted her wedding sari to be something more than what she wore for one special day – something she could treasure for a lifetime.

Pavithra says she loved the ambience at the store and how peaceful and unhurried everything felt. Choosing a wedding sari is such an emotional and special experience and the atmosphere at Kanakavalli made it more special, she adds.

A big thank you to Pavithra for being a beautiful Kanakavalli Bride and sharing the story of her wedding with us. We wish her and Rohith a lifetime of love and laughter.
