Kanakavalli Silk/Cotton Sari 24-598-HS005-09208

This beautiful silk cotton sari in black silk shot with mulberry cotton is handwoven with bands and stripes in lime green and leaf green silk, forming a checkered pattern, all over the body. The borders have a selvedge in mulberry cotton. The pallu in the same colours as the borders features a seeprekku pattern flanked by chakaram enclosing peacock, floral, geometric and alternating stripes in leaf green and orange silk.

Woven with silk and cotton in the warp, and silk in the weft, these exclusively developed handlooms, with their higher silk content, impart these saris with a soft luster and bodied drape.
