Kanakavalli Silk/Cotton Sari 23-598-HS005-00160

This regal silk cotton sari in a dual shade of orange is handwoven with stripes in black silk and dotted checks in maroon, running along the body. The broad border has band, diamond and vanki(chevron) patterns in rust orange, burnt orange cotton and maroon cotton while the narrow border has diamond and vanki in burnt orange cotton. The pallu features a seeprekku pattern edged by diamond and vanki patterns in rust orange and black.

Woven with silk and cotton in the warp, and silk in the weft, these exclusively developed handlooms, with their higher silk content, impart these saris with a soft luster and bodied drape.
