This beautiful kanjivaram sari in deep red shot with black is handwoven with checks highlighted by mayil(peacock) and chakaram motifs in gold zari, all over the body. The borders in black shot with deep purple have twill, yaanai(elephant), floral and geometric patterns in gold zari. The pallu in the same colour as the borders features checks enclosing mayil and chakaram edged by yaanai, rudraksham, diamond, geometric and stylised leaf motifs all in gold zari.
