This classic kanjivaram sari in red shot with black is handwoven with stripes in a dual shade of yellow, forming a checkered pattern on the body, along with mayil(peacock) and floral motifs in gold zari, placed above the borders. The borders in mustard yellow shot with black have fine stripes in gold zari, along with a selvedge in dark leaf green. The pallu in the same colours as the borders features bands, stripes and floral motifs in gold zari.
