This beautiful kanjivaram sari in scarlet red shot with deep purple is handwoven with mayil(peacock) buttis in gold zari, dotted on the body. The borders in scarlet red shot with crimson red have twill, mayil, chakaram and geometric patterns in gold zari. The pallu in the same colour as the borders features geometric checks enclosing floral buttis flanked by yaanai(elephant), parakum kuthirai(winged horse), mayil, manga(paisley), diamond, twill, geometric and stylised leaf motifs in gold zari.
