This regal kanjivaram sari in dark mauve shot with gold and silver tissue is handwoven with checks enclosing mayil(peacock), manga(paisley), chakaram, diamond and geometric motifs in gold and silver zari, all over the body. The broad border has diamond, yali, stylised fish, vanki(chevron) and geometric patterns in gold and silver zari; while the small border has diamond, mayil, stylised fish, vanki and geometric patterns in gold and silver zari. The pallu features a diamond band flanked by yali, mayil, vanki, geometric and stylised leaf motifs in gold and silver zari.
