This classic kanjivaram sari in mayil kazhuthu (royal blue shot with green) is handwoven with checks in gold zari, on the body. The borders in royal blue shot with fuchsia pink have geometric patterns in gold zari, along with bands and selvedge in scarlet red and leaf green. The pallu in the same colours as the borders features a geometric pattern flanked by yaanai(elephant), mayil(peacock), floral, stylised leaf, geometric motis and bands in gold zari, scarlet red and leaf green.
