Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 22-608-HS001-03705

This sari is from Kanakavalli's Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This regal kanjivaram sari in jade green is handwoven with mayil(peacock), floral and geometric patterns in gold zari, all over the body. The borders have twill, mayil, neli and thazhampoo reku(temple) motifs in silver zari. The pallu features a diamond band flanked by vanki(chevron), manga(paisley) and stylised leaf motifs in gold zari.
