Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 22-110-HS001-00959

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This regal kanjivaram sari in burnt orange shot with rust orange is handwoven with twill patterns in gold zari, all over the body. The broad border has diamond, kuthirai(horse), annam, manga(paisley), twill, rudraksham and geometric motifs in gold zari; while the narrow border has diamond, manga and geometric motifs in gold zari. The pallu features checks enclosing rudraksham flanked by yaanai(elephant), kuthirai, mayil(peacock), annam, manga, twill, geometric and stylised leaf patterns in gold zari.
