Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 21-110-HS001-03742

This sari is from Kanakavalli's Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This stunning kanjivaram sari in pale lavender shot with pale grey is handwoven with yaanai(elephant), maan(deer), kuthirai(horse), puli(tiger), mayil(peacock), kili(parrot) and floral motifs in gold zari, all over the body. The borders have yali, manga(paisley), diamond, rudraksham, twill, floral and geometric patterns in gold zari and pale grey. The pallu features a geometric band flanked by annam, floral, jadai nagam, twill and stylised leaf motifs in gold zari.
