Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 20-040-HS001-00778

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This stunning kanjivaram sari in mulberry purple is handwoven with geometric checks in gold zari, all over the body. The borders have diamond, thuthiripoo and salangai(anklet) patterns in gold zari and mulberry purple. The pallu features a twill ettu kol band flanked by yali, kuthirai(horse), mythical animal, mythical bird, floral, manga(paisley), thazhampoo reku(temple) and geometric motifs in gold zari.
