Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 18-100-HS001-00227

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This beautiful kanjivaram sari in scarlet red is handwoven with stylised leaf buttis in gold zari, all over the body. The korvai borders in maroon, the broad border has has diamond, chevron and geometric motifs in gold zari; while the small border has chevron patterns in gold zari, both having hints of scarlet red. The pallu mirrors the colours and the patterns of the broad border.
