Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 18-071-HS001-00465

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This unique kanjivaram sari in a dual shade of blue is handwoven with floral buttis in gold zari, running along the body. The korvai borders in sky blue have twill, iruthalai pakshi, rudraksham and geometric patterns in gold zari. The pallu in the same colour as the border features a geometric band edged by yaanai(elephant), kuthirai(horse), mayil(peacock), manga(paisley), floral, rudraksham and stylised leaf motifs in gold zari.
