This regal kanjivaram sari in deep red shot is handwoven with checks enclosing mayil (peacock) and chakaram motifs in ochre yellow on the body. The borders in dark leaf green shot with deep red have circular and geometric patterns in gold zari. The pallu mirroring the colours of the borders features a stylised leaf band flanked by yali, mayil, maanga(paisley) and geometric motifs all in gold zari.
