Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 20-040-HS001-00172

This sari is from Kanakavalli's Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari and a sumptuous bodied but butter-soft hand feel.

This beautiful kanjivaram sari in a dual shade of dark marlin blue is handwoven with manga(paisley) and floral motifs in silver zari, dotted on the body. The borders have diamond, vanki(chevron) and geometric patterns in silver zari. The pallu features an arai madam band edged by yaanai(elephant), manga, floral, thuthiripoo and stylised leaf motifs in silver zari.
