Zoe weds Rajiv
Kanakavalli Bride Zoe and Rajiv met on their first day of medical school when they were randomly paired to work on a research project together. She thought he was handsome, tall and smart. That was the beginning of their story.
During a trip to Disneyland to celebrate finishing their third year of medical school, Rajiv took Zoe completely by surprise by proposing to her! That evening, they had dinner by the beach with both their families.
Zoe says that her bright red Kanakavalli sari became the central point around which the wedding décor and theme were designed.
It inspired the colour choices for everything from the invitations to the floral décor!
After their wedding ceremony, Zoe and Rajiv finally got to spend a quiet moment alone. She says that sharing a glass of champagne as newly-weds after the excitement of the wedding is a moment she will never forget.
Zoe’s mother-in-law has always been a fan of Kanakavalli, and the wedding sari was a gift from Rajiv’s parents. Before they went to the Kingsley store to buy the sari, Zoe browsed through the website to narrow down her favourites.
She says the beautifully photographed kanjivarams and the well-organised online store helped her choose the sari that she would get married in.
