Kanakavalli Bride : Madhumita
Madhumita weds Sanket
Kanakavalli Bride Madhumita and Sanket met at work, and their friendship grew over long drives and conversations over chaat. During the Covid lockdown, they played Ludo online every single night for nine months straight, and began to see that their friendship had the potential to turn into something more.
And the deal was sealed when they went on a company trip to Lonavala. They both knew they wanted to get married, and when Madhumita's father asked about it, Sanket immediately pulled out his calendar to look for a wedding date!
From the hills of Lonavala to the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh, where they got married, mountains play a special role in Madhumita and Sanket's relationship. The pristine location on the banks of the Ganga was idyllic.
It was also the last place that Madhumita and her parents went together as a family before her mother passed away, so it had special significance.
The wedding ceremony took place at dawn, in the bowl of the valley, amid the chirping of birds and the golden rays of the sun playing on the mountaintops. The landscape was the focal point of the decor, highlighted with dramatic floral arrangements.
Madhumita says that walking down the aisle with her six-feet long trail held by her nieces and closest friends was the most memorable moment of her big day.
She could see her family, overwhelmed with joy, and Sanket, dressed in all his Peshwa splendour, waiting for his bride.
As a South Indian bride-to-be, Madhumita scoured Instagram to find a brand that would resonate with her style. When she visited the Kanakavalli store at Kingsley, she found her muhurtham sari within fifteen minutes!
A big thank you to Madhumita for being a gorgeous Kanakavalli Bride and sharing your story with us. We wish you and Sanket a lifetime of love and togetherness.
