This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.
This unique kanjivaram sari in a dual shade of orange is handwoven with circular motifs in gold zari, all over the body. The korvai borders in rust orange shot with burnt orange have floral, twill and geometric patterns in gold zari, while the pallu features a diamond band flanked by peacock and geometric motifs all in gold zari.
