This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.
This stunning kanjivaram sari in dark moss green shot with black is handwoven with checks in gold zari, running along the body. The borders in black have floral and geometric patterns in gold zari and dark maroon. The pallu is interlocked using the 'benth' technique in the same colour as the borders and features an intricate diamond band edged by elephant, floral and geometric motifs in gold zari.
