Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 19-100-HS001-01296

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This stunning kanjivaram sari in black is handwoven with checks enclosing floral motifs in gold zari, all over the body. The korvai borders are in black, the broad border has chevron, peacock, diamond and geometric patterns in gold zari; while the small border has peacock and geometric motifs in gold zari, both have temple motifs in gold zari placed above them. The pallu features yali, parrot, peacock, horse, mythical animal, floral, temple and geometric patterns all in gold zari.
