This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective of kanjivarams that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.
This stunning kanjivaram sari in a dual shade of blue is handwoven with peacock, chakaram and circular patterns in gold zari, all over the body. The korvai borders in ink violet shot with dark purple have temple, twill and geometric patterns in gold zari. The pallu in the same colours as the borders features a diamond band, floral, stylised leaf and geometric motifs in gold zari.
